nonHostel is an online platform that allows members to post hosting availability, post travel plans, and contact one another. nonHostel is not a travel agency, booking service, hotel, hostel, or accommodation provider. We do not own, operate, manage, or inspect any hosting arrangement facilitated through this site.
We do not pre-screen, background-check, verify the identity of, or vouch for any member — host or traveler. Any information a member posts about themselves is self-reported and unverified. References left by other members reflect those members' personal experiences and are not endorsements by nonHostel.
By creating an account, you electronically agree to accept and receive communications from nonHostel by email, including: verifying your email address, password resets, notifications about hosting requests, messages, references, friend requests and group activity, and important notices about the service or these Terms. These are considered part of the service, not optional marketing — some site features (such as being notified of a stay request) will not work correctly if you cannot receive them. We do not sell your email address to third parties.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless nonHostel, its owners, operators, employees, agents, affiliates, and successors (collectively, "nonHostel Parties") from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
You agree that this release applies regardless of whether the harm was caused by the negligence of the nonHostel Parties.
You agree to indemnify and hold the nonHostel Parties harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) brought by third parties arising out of your use of the site, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your interactions with other members.
This site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the nonHostel Parties be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use the service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. If for any reason a court finds liability despite this limitation, the nonHostel Parties' total liability shall not exceed $100.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our discretion, without notice, for any reason or no reason.
nonHostel lets you upload photos to your profile ("Member Content"). You retain all ownership rights in your Member Content. By posting a photo, you hereby grant nonHostel a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and fully sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, resize, adapt, and create derivative works from that photo, in any form or medium, solely to operate, provide, and display the service (for example, generating the thumbnail and avatar sizes shown across the site). In practice, once you delete a photo or your account it stops being shown publicly; this license exists mainly to cover technical copies such as backups and cached versions that may briefly persist afterward.
You represent and warrant that you own and control all rights to every photo you post, or that you otherwise have the right to post it, and that doing so does not infringe or violate any third party's rights. You agree not to upload any photo you do not have the right to use — including photos taken by someone else, images copied from elsewhere online, or photos of other people taken without their consent.
You are solely responsible for the photos you upload. nonHostel does not review photos before they are posted and does not verify ownership or rights. We reserve the right to remove any photo at any time, for any reason, including suspected copyright infringement, without notice.
nonHostel is not equipped to contact emergency services on your behalf. If you are in danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately. Do not rely on this platform in an emergency.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which nonHostel operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of nonHostel after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
